The most outstanding and representative from La Rioja and Basque regions. On quiet backroads the tour weaves in and out of vineyards and medieval towns . Part of the course meets “ the Camino de Santiago”. We will head then to San Sebastian, a gastronomic world wide reference with 23 Michelin stars gathered by their best restaurants. His historical old district with plenty of bars offers gastronomy in a small format called “pintxos”.
During the stay in San Sebastian some coastal routes are proposed , to the west up to Lekeitio summer resort , to the east the gorgeous and fishing town of San Juan de Luz on the french coast.
The route breezes through the scenery of ancient villages with a long fishing tradition based on a simple gastronomy and recipes inherited through family ancestors where an extraordinary raw food is cooked on the grill.

Bilbao – Villanueva de Alava
Pick up at the airport and transfer to Villanueva de Alava to stay at the luxurious Hotel Viura, built in a modern Cubism style. Visit a nearby and famous winery with its own wine museum and authentic masterpieces of painting (Miró, Picasso etc.) and sculptures around the wine.Tasting their wines in a unique natural setting.

Bicycle tour through the heart of La Rioja
Our first route will take us through little-traveled roads, crossing medieval villages, and surrounded by vineyard fields belonging to centenary wineries.
We will also ride through a phase of “Camino de Santiago”, a thousand-year-old medieval route that heads pilgrims to the capital where the Apostle Santiago is buried.

Before the transfer to San Sebastian, we will do short ride tour through local backroads poorly traveled by cars passing through medieval towns like San Vicente de la Sonsierra. Arrival to San Sebastian and we stay at the exclusive and luxurious Hotel Maria Cristina in San Sebastian

San Sebastián to Lekeitio
Specially selected route to enjoy a bicycle day on the green Basque coast to the fullest. Picturesque and old fishing villages, which maintain their traditions and customs. Return by private car to San Sebastián

San Sebastián to Saint Jean de Luz
We will depart by bicycle from San Sebastian to the fishing villages of Pasajes de San Juan, we will cross by boat to continue our journey along the Alto de Jaizkibel with unique views over the Cantabrian Sea. Descent to Hondarribia and we will take a break to eat a pintxo & drink in the old part of the Villa. We will sail by boat to cross the border between Spain and France to continue along the coastal road to the typical French Basque village of Saint Jean de Luz.
Return by private car to San Sebastián
